I am not sure why one of my first blog entries is about Weleda. Maybe because I’m a little vain and I enjoy smothering my body in good-smelling lotions and creams every day. Or, actually, because I love the Weleda products and their company philosophy. I wish Weleda would be more readily available here in Utah – so far I only found them at the Good Earth store in Sandy. I hope that me “advertising” for Weleda a little will get the word out how good that stuff is and more people will want to buy it…
What I love about Weleda products, besides that they smell sooo good (no worries, I haven’t tasted them – yet :)), is that they are all-natural, free of any synthetic chemical and lab-made preservatives. They are very gentle and effective for any skin type, but especially for sensitive and problematic skin. All the Weleda ingredients are farmed with the Biodynamic method and through fare-trade partnerships. By now you have probably noticed – yes, I have to agree that Nathan is maybe right about me being a tree-hugger and hippy. But that shouldn’t be surprising since I grew up in Germany :). Weleda’s history all goes back to 1921 and something called anthroposophy, a movement or philosophy that sees the body, mind and spirit all part of one holistic system.
